The aim of the webinar is to discuss the performance of horizontal accountability mechanisms within the Executive branch in Latin America and Africa. To this purpose, the main lessons learned from studies undertaken in Argentina and Kenya will be shared. We expect to have a fruitful debate on policy recommendations to improve the performance of these mechanisms in both regions.

The webinar is part of the ELLA Programme, a South-South cooperation initiative that aims to transfer lessons and good practices between African and Latin American think tanks. The webinar is part of a series of studies and activities undertaken by CIPPEC (Argentina) and OSSREA (Ethiopia) aimed at understanding the deficits in horizontal accountability in the two regions and developing policy recommendations and strategies to overcome them.

The webinar will be held on Tuesday 12th July at 13 GMT.
